Rental
The pool,
meeting room and racquetball courts may be rented during non-peak or closed
times, and the gymnasium may be rented during closed time. Call 304-623-3303
for rental fees and times.
Birthday
Parties
Make your next birthday party a pool party at the Y. Swim for
an hour and then have an hour to eat the refreshments that you provide
in our party room. You can schedule a birthday party for Friday, Saturday
or Sunday. Friday birthday parties are held in the evening while Saturday
and Sunday birthday parties are held in the afternoon. All parties are
scheduled during normal open hours only. Call the YMCA at 304-623-3303
for birthday party fees.

Closing Announcements
Listen
to local radio and TV stations for closure of the building on the following
stations.
In the event of a
cancellation, classes may be made up at a later date. Check with your
instructor. In the event a class is canceled more than once a session
and cannot be made up or rescheduled, then a credit slip may be obtained
for the canceled class. If you do not hear a cancellation announcement
on any of the radio stations and still have a concern as to whether the
class will run, please call the YMCA at 304-623-3303.

Sitting
Baby Sitting is a drop-in service for YMCA members and non-members
who are participating in a specific YMCA program or using the YMCA facility.
Children 8 and under may use this service. Call the YMCA at 304-623-3303
for fees.
How
to Get to the Harrison County YMCA
From 50 West
(Salem) Take the 3rd Street "Downtown" Exit from Rt. 50. Take an
immediate left and go one block to 2nd Street. Continue up the hill. Enter
the city park on the right, and continue winding up the hill following
the YMCA signs until you get to the top where the Y is.
From 50 East
(I-79/Bridgeport) Take the 2nd Street exit. Follow 2nd street up the hill.
As you near the top, there is a city park with signs pointing to the Y.
Enter the city park on the right and continue to follow the YMCA signs
as you wind up the hill. The Harrison County YMCA is right on top.
From Chestnut Street
Follow Chestnut Street and turn left onto Roosevelt Road. Follow
Roosevelt Road and turn left onto Van Buren Street. Follow Van Buren to
the top and follow the signs to the entrance to the YMCA. This route is
recommended when weather conditions such as snow and ice are present.

Bus Service
The Central
West Virginia Transit Authority provides transit services to the Harrison
County YMCA. The pickup points for the trip to the YMCA are the Harrison
County Library, the Harrison County Senior Citizen’s Center and the Harrison
County Court House. Transfers are accepted from other parts of the county.

organization with a charitable purpose. Our Financial Assistance Policy
enables the YMCA to assist families and individuals who want to participate
but cannot afford the entire fee. Applications are available at the FRONT
